Diving with the American lobster means cold water and iron: three of the four sites are wrecks — the Andrea Doria at 70 metres on trimix, the Bell Island Wrecks at 40 and the Mohawk off Block Island — and the fourth, the Bay of Fundy, has extreme tidal current. The water runs from 8 to 14 °C and the season narrows to June-September.
