The four sites for the California sea lion belong to the cold eastern Pacific, between 13 and 20 °C: two kelp forests — La Jolla Cove and Monterey Bay — the Wreck Alley wrecks off San Diego, and Guadalupe Island, the only one dived from a certified cage and the only one reaching 30 metres of visibility.
