Where to see a species
The nine places for the grey whale follow its migration route along the North Pacific: El Vizcaíno, at 25,000 km², where it breeds; the Channel Islands, Point Reyes, Redwood and Olympic along the California and Washington coasts; Pacific Rim and Gwaii Haanas in Canada; and Wrangel Island in Russia. Four are World Heritage.
Places come from reviewed species-place links; the species shown at each place are only those in this group.
