Where to see a species
The northern elephant seal is documented at six places along the California Current, four on land and two dives. Guadalupe Island appears twice — as a 4,761 km² reserve and as a cage dive site — and El Vizcaíno, World Heritage, contributes another 25,000. Point Reyes and the Channel Islands complete the list.
Places come from reviewed species-place links; the species shown at each place are only those in this group.
