Where to see a species
The sea otter is endangered and the nine places where it is documented follow the North Pacific arc: Lake Clark, Katmai and Glacier Bay in Alaska add up to more than 45,000 km²; Pacific Rim and the Great Bear Rainforest in Canada; Olympic, Neah Bay and Monterey on the US coast; and the volcanoes of Kamchatka, at 38,000, close the arc.
Places come from reviewed species-place links; the species shown at each place are only those in this group.
