Where to see a species
The Somali ostrich is vulnerable and its distribution spreads across four countries of the Horn of Africa: Awash in Ethiopia, Kidepo Valley in Uganda, Lag Badana in Somalia and three Kenyan ones — Meru, Samburu and Tsavo, the last at 21,812 km². None is World Heritage, and Samburu, at 165, is the smallest.
Places come from reviewed species-place links; the species shown at each place are only those in this group.
