Primates in Nicaragua

Bosawás covers 20,000 km² — 84% of this list's area — and is a biosphere reserve; Indio Maíz adds another 3,180. The three linked monkeys are the same ones found across Central America: Geoffroy's spider monkey, endangered, the mantled howler and the white-throated capuchin. Miraflor adds a community-managed reserve, uncommon in this catalogue.
