Wildlife by group and country
The six Amazonian parks on this list add up to almost 80,000 km² — Alto Purús contributes 25,000 and Pacaya-Samiria 20,800 — and from them come the green anaconda and the black caiman. The seventh entry is Máncora, a tropical rocky reef in the north, and it supplies the green turtle, the only threatened species. Manu is World Heritage.
Places come from reviewed species-place links; the species shown at each place are only those in this group.
