Where to see a species
The eight parks for the alpine salamander cover the Alpine arc and reach down into the Balkans: Berchtesgaden, Hohe Tauern — the largest at 1,856 km² — Kalkalpen, Écrins, Stelvio, the Swiss National Park, Triglav and Sutjeska, in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Seven countries and not one World Heritage.
Places come from reviewed species-place links; the species shown at each place are only those in this group.
