Where to see a species
The seven places for the American flamingo are brackish lagoons and coastal wetlands in five countries: the Zapata Swamp in Cuba, Sian Ka'an in Mexico — both World Heritage — Jaragua in the Dominican Republic, Bonaire and, in Venezuela, Los Roques and Morrocoy, the last of these twice over, as park and as dive site.
Places come from reviewed species-place links; the species shown at each place are only those in this group.
