The sixteen areas for the black-chested buzzard-eagle run down the Andes from Colombia to Tierra del Fuego, and three are World Heritage: Los Glaciares at 7,269 km², Talampaya at 2,150 and Ischigualasto, the Valley of the Moon. El Cocuy and Los Nevados, in Colombia, are the two northernmost; Torres del Paine and Cerro Castillo close the south.
