Where to see a species
The nine parks for the black woodpecker run from the Black Forest to Mount Paektu: five biosphere reserves in Europe — the Harz, Kalkalpen, Karkonosze, Somiedo and Šumava — plus the Black Forest and the Northern Vosges, and two in the far east, Changbai Mountain in China and Mount Paektu in North Korea, which are the same volcano.
Places come from reviewed species-place links; the species shown at each place are only those in this group.
