Where to see a species
The six areas for the snowy owl are all Arctic and add up to almost 100,000 km²: Gates of the Arctic in Alaska, at 34,287; Auyuittuq, Ivvavik and the Torngat Mountains in Canada; and Wrangel Island and the Putorana Plateau in Russia, both World Heritage. The species is vulnerable.
Places come from reviewed species-place links; the species shown at each place are only those in this group.
