Wildlife by group and country
The three species on this list are salmon — sockeye, Atlantic and chinook — and that explains the choice of places: six national parks with spawning rivers, from Pacific Rim and Gwaii Haanas on the west coast to Gros Morne and Cape Breton on the east. Kluane, at 22,013 km², is the largest, and Browning Pass the only dive site.
Places come from reviewed species-place links; the species shown at each place are only those in this group.
