Wildlife by group and country
The southern muriqui is critically endangered and is the largest primate in the Americas: it lives in Itatiaia and the Serra dos Órgãos, the two Atlantic Forest parks on this list. The other two monkeys are howlers, the red and the black. Iguaçu appears twice — as a national park and as a World Heritage site — and Anavilhanas contributes 3,500 km² of Amazonian river archipelago.
