Trips to watch wild animals in their natural setting, above all in Africa.
Safari means “journey” in Swahili, and the word came to describe expeditions to see or, in times past, hunt big game in eastern and southern Africa. Today most are photographic and take place by vehicle, on foot, by boat or even by balloon, inside national parks and reserves. Well managed, safari tourism funds the protection of many natural areas and provides income for the communities that live alongside them.
