Diving with a species
The five sites for the mimic octopus are muck diving: sand and silt bottoms where the rare things hide. Lembeh, Ambon and Halmahera in Indonesia, Anilao in the Philippines and Milne Bay in Papua New Guinea, all between 27 and 28 °C, all at 25 metres maximum and all open to Open Water certification. Visibility is low — 10 to 15 metres — because the bottom is silt.
Places come from reviewed species-place links; the species shown at each place are only those in this group.
