The six parks for the adder are heaths, bogs and forests of northern and central Europe: the Hoge Veluwe and Hoge Kempen in the Netherlands and Belgium, Dartmoor and the New Forest in the United Kingdom, Retezat in the Romanian Carpathians and Store Mosse in Sweden. Dartmoor, at 954 km², is the largest.
