Where to see a species
The fourteen areas for the brown pelican are coastal and cover both American seaboards: El Vizcaíno at 25,000 km², Los Roques at 2,211 and Biscayne at 700. Four are World Heritage — El Vizcaíno, Bacalar Chico, Portobelo and Redwood — and ten countries contribute at least one.
Places come from reviewed species-place links; the species shown at each place are only those in this group.
