Where to see a group in a country
South Africa documents two eagles, and the gap between them is wide: the martial eagle is endangered, while Verreaux's eagle is of Least Concern. The 10 parks recording them are almost all arid country and rock — Kgalagadi, the Karoo, Augrabies Falls, Ai-Ais Richtersveld, Mountain Zebra, Golden Gate Highlands, Marakele and Mapungubwe — and three are World Heritage sites.
Places come from reviewed species-place links; the species shown at each place are only those in this group.
