Where to see a species
The Siberian musk deer is vulnerable and its distribution traces the boreal forest of north-east Asia: Baikal, the Lena Pillars and Sikhote-Alin in Russia, all three World Heritage; Lake Khuvsgul in Mongolia; Changbai Mountain in China; and Mount Paektu in North Korea, which is the same massif seen from the other side of the border.
Places come from reviewed species-place links; the species shown at each place are only those in this group.
