Wildlife by group and country
Namib-Naukluft covers 49,768 km², Etosha 22,270 and the Skeleton Coast 16,845: Namibia's five areas add up to more than 95,000 km² of desert and savannah. The four birds describe it without ambiguity — the common ostrich, the lesser flamingo of the coastal lagoons, the Cape vulture and Verreaux's eagle, of the canyons.
Places come from reviewed species-place links; the species shown at each place are only those in this group.
