Los Roques appears twice on this list, as a dive site and as a 2,211 km² national park, and with Media Luna it supplies three of the four places. The fourth is Morrocoy. All are lagoon reefs of 20 to 25 metres, and of the three linked species only the nurse shark is threatened.
