Wildlife by group and country
Three of Portugal's six places are dives and three are on land, and the three species follow that split: the loggerhead turtle in the Atlantic, the Mediterranean chameleon in the Ria Formosa of the Algarve and Seoane's viper in Peneda-Gerês and the Serra da Estrela. No other guide in this family brings together a chameleon and a mountain viper.
Places come from reviewed species-place links; the species shown at each place are only those in this group.
