Where to see a species
The seven places for the king penguin are subantarctic and three are World Heritage: Macquarie Island, the Heard and McDonald Islands and the Kerguelens, at 7,215 km². South Georgia appears three times — as a 1,240,000 km² marine protected area, as an island and as a dive site — and the Prince Edward Islands complete the ring.
Places come from reviewed species-place links; the species shown at each place are only those in this group.
