Where to see a species
The smooth-coated otter is vulnerable and the thirteen areas where it is documented are rivers and deltas of the Indian subcontinent: the Sundarbans appear twice — the Indian park and the Bangladeshi forest reserve — and with Kaziranga, Keoladeo, Manas and Chitwan they make five World Heritage sites. Silent Valley, at 89 km², is the smallest and the southernmost.
Places come from reviewed species-place links; the species shown at each place are only those in this group.
