Wildlife by group and country
New Zealand's list mixes what no other in this family mixes: the largest sea cave in the world at the Poor Knights, a subantarctic kelp forest at Stewart Island, a freshwater alpine lake at Nelson Lakes and Tongariro National Park, World Heritage. Hence the great white shark and the reef manta ray sitting alongside two trout.
Places come from reviewed species-place links; the species shown at each place are only those in this group.
