Wildlife by group and country
Portugal's five sites cover three archipelagos and the mainland: the Azores with the Princess Alice Bank, Madeira with the Garajau reserve, and the Berlengas, Sesimbra and Cape St Vincent on the coast. Of the six species, the ocean sunfish is vulnerable and the blue shark near threatened; the other four are Atlantic rocky-reef fish.
Places come from reviewed species-place links; the species shown at each place are only those in this group.
