Wildlife by group and country
The gharial is critically endangered and appears here because of the rivers of Jim Corbett and Panna; the hawksbill turtle, also critical, because of the reefs of the Andamans and Lakshadweep. That is how this list splits: seven land parks and three dive sites. The Sundarbans, Kaziranga and Keoladeo are World Heritage, and the saltwater crocodile comes from the first.
Places come from reviewed species-place links; the species shown at each place are only those in this group.
