Kitulo

Declared in 2005, Kitulo is known locally as the Garden of God and internationally as the Serengeti of flowers, for concentrating more than 350 species of wildflower, including 45 orchid species, on a plateau above 2,600 metres that flowers en masse through the rainy season, making it the first national park in Tanzania (and one of the few in Africa) declared specifically to protect flora rather than fauna.
