A threatened group in a country
Three of Indonesia's eight threatened birds are hornbills, and the helmeted hornbill is critically endangered. The rest are large forest and ground birds: the southern cassowary, the green peafowl, the great argus, the Javan hawk-eagle and the white-winged duck, also critical. None is marine.
