A threatened group in a country
Panama has two oceans, and five of its eight threatened reptiles are sea turtles — hawksbill, green, loggerhead, olive ridley and leatherback. The other three belong to land and fresh water: the American crocodile, the red-footed tortoise and the South American bushmaster. The only critically endangered one is the hawksbill.
