Wildlife by group and country
The Indian vulture is critically endangered and is the species that gives this list of seven parks its weight; alongside it the bearded vulture and the golden eagle, both high-mountain birds. Three parks are World Heritage — the Great Himalayan National Park, Nanda Devi and the Valley of Flowers — and Hemis, at 4,400 km², is the largest.
Places come from reviewed species-place links; the species shown at each place are only those in this group.
