Wildlife by group and country
Indonesia's ten mollusc sites are all dives, and half are muck diving: Lembeh, Ambon, Halmahera. That explains the first two species — the mimic octopus and the greater blue-ringed octopus, which live on silt bottoms — while the third, the giant clam, is critically endangered and lives on the reefs of Sangalaki, Kakaban and Riung.
Places come from reviewed species-place links; the species shown at each place are only those in this group.
