A threatened group in a country
Six of São Tomé and Príncipe's eight threatened fish are sharks and rays, and the two critically endangered ones are the scalloped hammerhead and the oceanic whitetip. With the whale shark, the giant manta, the lemon and the silky shark, the list describes open ocean; only the dusky grouper and the ocean sunfish are bony fish.
