Wildlife by group and country
Mexico's five areas add up to 43,435 km², four are biosphere reserves and three World Heritage. And they describe three deserts and a rainforest: El Vizcaíno at 25,000 km², El Pinacate at 7,150, the Sierra Gorda at 3,837 and Calakmul at 7,231, already on the Yucatán peninsula. The three raptors are the king vulture, the osprey and the elf owl.
