Wildlife by group and country
The Central Kalahari Game Reserve covers 52,800 km², more than Botswana's other five areas combined, and the Okavango Delta and Moremi are World Heritage. The six birds run along that opposition between desert and water: the common ostrich and the northern carmine bee-eater on one side; the two flamingos of the Makgadikgadi pans and the African fish-eagle on the other.
