Allochrocebus preussi
At very high risk of extinction in the wild in the near future.
Preuss's monkey is a dark primate with a striking white ruff at the throat, closely related to L'Hoest's monkey but restricted to the montane forests of the Gulf of Guinea. It occupies a tiny range between Cameroon, Nigeria and the island of Bioko. It is more terrestrial than most guenons and looks for invertebrates, shoots and fruit on the forest floor. Hunting for bushmeat and the logging of the montane forests have put it in a critical position.
