Lembeh Strait

Sandy bottom (muck diving)
Indonesia · North Sulawesi
Profundidad: 5–25 mNivel: Open WaterAll year round

The strait is the opposite of Bunaken: shallow, silty, slow and extraordinary. Muck diving means moving slowly over bottoms of volcanic sand, silt or rubble looking for small, camouflaged or rare animals, rarely below 25 m. For macro photographers there is nothing to match it anywhere in the world.
