Highlight

The only national park in the world with a world-class art museum inside it (a Van Gogh collection), and 1,800 free bicycles to explore it

Declared in 1935, it is a singular case among the world's national parks in holding within it the Kröller-Müller Museum, with the second largest collection of works by Vincent van Gogh on the planet, assembled by the collector Helene Kröller-Müller in the early 20th century. The park provides more than 1,800 white bicycles for free use, distributed around its entrances, a pioneering sustainable transport scheme running since the 1970s.
