A threatened group in a country
French Guiana's fourteen threatened mammals are almost all Amazonian: four primates, the giant otter, the lowland tapir, the giant armadillo, the giant anteater, the white-lipped peccary, the Amazon river dolphin and the Amazonian manatee. The only critically endangered case is a marine one, the Atlantic humpback dolphin.
