A threatened group in a country
Peru's eleven threatened birds split between sea and mountain range: three albatrosses and the Humboldt penguin from the cold Pacific current; the Andean condor, the Andean flamingo, the black-and-chestnut eagle and the marvelous spatuletail from the Andes. The waved albatross is the only critically endangered one, and two macaws and a swift close the list.
