Wildlife by group and country
Seven carnivores for nine parks, and the list is that of a classic safari: lion, leopard, cheetah, spotted hyaena, black-backed jackal, serval and the African wild dog, the only endangered one. Tsavo covers 21,812 km², more than the other eight combined, and Samburu, at 165, is the smallest. The Maasai Mara and Samburu are the only ones that are national reserves rather than parks.
Places come from reviewed species-place links; the species shown at each place are only those in this group.
