Each species profile brings together what the animal is and where it can be seen: its classification and conservation status, its size, weight and lifespan, its diet and activity pattern, and the countries, parks and dive sites where its presence is documented. Taxonomy and common names come from GBIF and conservation status from the IUCN Red List; how we build our profiles explains every source and what we do when a fact is missing.
