Monad Shoal is a seamount that works as a cleaning station and is the most reliable site in the world for the pelagic thresher shark: they rise from the depths at dawn almost daily. The dive begins with a pre-dawn briefing and a crossing in the dark. Encounters also happen at Kimud Shoal, where they fall within recreational depths.
