A threatened group in a country
Thirteen of Ecuador's fifteen threatened fish are sharks and rays, and three are critically endangered: the tope, the great hammerhead and the oceanic whitetip. It is the list of a coast where cold and warm waters meet — great white shark and whale shark at once — and there are only two bony fish, the bluefish and the sailfish.
