A threatened group in a country
Greenland's sixteen threatened fish split exactly in half between bony fish and sharks. The Greenland shark is the species that gives the list its character, and with it the great white shark and the basking shark turn up in subarctic water. Critically endangered are the European eel and the tope; four of the bony fish are commercial catch.
