Manta Ridge (Arborek)

Indonesia · Raja Ampat, West Papua
Profundidad: 5–20 mNivel: Open WaterAll year round, peak Oct-April

A manta ray cleaning station on the ridge off Arborek. Together with Manta Sandy — shallower, between 5 and 8 m, and workable even on a breath-hold — it forms the most reliable pairing for manta encounters in the Coral Triangle. At Manta Sandy the protocol is to sit still on a patch of sand while the mantas let themselves be cleaned overhead; the encounters last between 15 and 30 minutes.
