Protected since 1901, among the first natural areas declared in New South Wales, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1986 as part of the Gondwana Rainforests, Dorrigo holds the Skywalk canopy walkway, which runs out over the treetops to a lookout with views that, on a clear day, reach the Pacific coast several kilometres away.
