Threatened species by country
Peru gathers forty-five threatened species, and its list crosses the three countries that fit inside it: the Pacific coast with the Humboldt penguin, the waved albatross and seven sharks; the Andes with the Andean cat, the mountain tapir, two chinchillas, the condor and the Andean flamingo; and Amazonia with the giant otter, the pink river dolphin and six primates. The Titicaca water frog is the only amphibian.
